Animal Experiments

Animal experimentation, also known as animal testing and animal research, is the use of animals for scientific and medical research. Experimenting on animals has been traced back to both the Greeks and the Romans of the 2nd century BC, who dissected pigs and goats as a method of testing surgical procedures prior to applying them to humans. Nowadays, animal testing has become one of the most debated topics in the world and has been faced by endless dispute from animal rights organizations such as PETA(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Many people think that animal testing is very important to humans for several reason. First, nearly every Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine since 1901 has relied on animal data for their research. Then other thing is that animals and humans are very similar; we have the same organ systems performing the same tasks in more or less the same way؛ therefore, what effects animals also affects humans. Also, animals suffer from similar diseases to humans ,including cancers,  flu and asthma.

In my opinion, that animal testing is a sacrifice that should continue for the benefit of humanity. Because without  animal experimentation the scientists may not be able to get medication for new diseases.
